On May 23-25, the 8th edition of the NSU-Motorradtreffen event took place in Spremberg / Germany. Two years ago, an 8-person Polish team took part in the meeting. This year, probably due to the strong competition of our Polish events, it was not possible to gather such a large group. In the end, 3 people came from Poland, Agnieszka with the NSU 201 OSL, me - with a replacement vehicle in the form of a 1937 Velocette MAC and our son Marcin, who was an assistant with the service car. The formula adopted by the organizers allows wives / husbands / partners of participants to start on a motorcycle of any brand. Two years ago, we could admire a woman who was skillfully riding a Norton.

The 3rd National NSU Motorcycle Rally took place on June 14-16, 2024. This time we met in Kruszwica in Kujawy. After two editions in Lublin, this allowed some faithful participants to significantly shorten the access route, and for those from the south-east to get to know unknown and not yet explored areas by motorcycle. Thanks to the advantageous location in central Poland, our colleagues from Pomerania and Warmia and Mazury finally took the plunge.

The base of the rally was Bistro Bianco in Kruszwica (bistro, banquet hall and hotel facilities). In addition to hotel accommodation for all participants and a canteen, the center also provided a closed parking lot and roofed pavilions for evening integration and outdoor barbecues. Delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners were provided. Although the place is located on a quiet side street, it is very close to the very center of Kruszwica, which made it possible to walk to the market square, to the legendary Mouse Tower, or to Lake Gopło.

By the Commander's decision, the event was intended only for NSU motorcycles, with no restrictions related to the age of the vehicles. Despite this ambitious assumption, or rather thanks to it, as many as 26 NSU motorcycles took part in the Saturday rally, and in total there were 28 motorcycles of this brand at the rally, plus one that joined the evening exhibition. A great result for Polish conditions! OSL models of the full capacity range (200-600 cc) and various years of production predominated, but there was also a decent representation of side-valve TSs, two-stroke ZDBs and post-war Maxes.
